The Summer Choral Institute, now in its 43rd year, will be held online for the second year as we safely manage the current pandemic. As one of the nation's most unique summer programs, we are seeking the brightest and most passionate high school freshman, sophomore, and junior singers from across the country to spend a week with each other and our acclaimed educators in music and leadership training.
Spend this summer with people like you!
High school choral music students from across the country are encouraged to attend the Summer Choral Institute. Students participate in an online immersive education with interviews, masterclasses, private coachings, musical experiences, lectures, classes, as well as team-building and character building exercises. The leadership staff of SCI are among the top performers and educators in their respective fields. Students from the Summer Choral Institute continually find that this Institute makes a significant and lasting impact on their lives.
Sponsored by the Master Teacher Institute for the Arts, students accepted into SCI receive a full scholarship covering all expenses for the 3 days of online education, weeks of distance educational experiences, and participation package materials. Students accepted into SCI will be required to participate in all events and online experiences. In the fall or winter of 2021, we hope to reward all those who successfully completed the 42nd and 43rd Institutes with an in-person weekend experience in Kansas City. Details still to be determined.
